Copyright Policy

1. Copyright Ownership

The Journal of Engineering Research and Reviews (JERR) supports an author-centered approach to copyright. Authors retain copyright in their published works, subject to the terms of the applicable publishing agreement.

JERR does not require authors to transfer copyright ownership to the journal or publisher as a condition of publication.

2. Creative Commons License

All articles published by JERR are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise stated.

The CC BY 4.0 license permits others to:

Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format; and
Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes.

These rights are subject to appropriate attribution and compliance with the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license.

3. Attribution Requirements

Users who reuse, reproduce, redistribute, or adapt material published by JERR must provide appropriate credit to the original author(s) and source.

Attribution should, where applicable, include:

the name(s) of the author(s);
the title of the article;
the Journal of Engineering Research and Reviews as the source;
the relevant publication information;
the article DOI or other persistent identifier; and
a link to the CC BY 4.0 license.

Users should also indicate whether changes were made to the original material.

4. Author Rights and Reuse

Because JERR articles are published under CC BY 4.0, authors may share and reuse their published work, subject to the terms of the license and any applicable rights relating to third-party material.

Authors may, for example, make their published articles available through:

institutional or subject repositories;

academic profiles and scholarly platforms;

Authors should retain the article's appropriate citation and attribution information when sharing or reusing their work.

5. Open Access

JERR is a fully open-access journal. Published articles are freely and immediately accessible online without subscription or access fees.

The journal's open-access model is intended to facilitate the broad dissemination, reuse, and advancement of engineering research while ensuring that authors receive appropriate recognition for their scholarly contributions.

6. Third-Party Material

The CC BY 4.0 license applies to material for which JERR or the article's authors hold the necessary rights to license it under CC BY 4.0.

Third-party content, including photographs, figures, tables, datasets, illustrations, or other materials incorporated into an article, may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions. Where applicable, such restrictions should be identified in the published article.

Users are responsible for determining whether additional permission is required before reusing third-party material.

7. Copyright and Scholarly Integrity

Copyright protection does not prevent lawful scholarly use, quotation, citation, or other uses permitted by applicable law or the CC BY 4.0 license.

JERR expects all users to respect intellectual property rights and to provide accurate attribution when using published material. Unauthorized use of copyrighted material or failure to provide appropriate attribution may constitute a violation of applicable law or the relevant license terms.
